Information

Castelvecchio’s history goes back probably to year 1000 and was together with the closest Perignano's fortress, destroyed by now, the center of innumerable Senese battles between Guelfi and Ghibellini, during Val d'Orcia's conquest. Today it is an ancient, peaceful medieval village, immerse in the middle of a farm, surrounded by wooded areas, mountains. Intact is still the dominant position over the top of Val d'Orcia.

Where we are:
very close to Monte Amiata, from Radicofani and Montepulciano cities, from Bagno Vignoni and San Casciano’s thermal waters, 18 Km from highway Al, between Rome and Florence (Chiusi-Chianciano Exit) and 4 Km from State Road Cassia, in front of S. Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza.

if you come by car: from Highway Al, 18 Km or from State Road Cassia, 4 Km; if you come by plane: Firenze, Pisa and Roma airports; if you come by train:
Chiusi train station, 25 Km.
